My boat was re-launched by the yard staff a couple of weeks ago, this weekend was the first time I have had a chance to see it since.
The whole of the stern GRP is covered with specs of rust, especially bad where water collect in drains etc...
Now I suspect that whilst in the yard some metallic dust from a nearby boat was blown onto mine (the guy behind me was restoring his boat). The thing is, the stuff just won't come off, no matter how much I scrub.
So please guys, somebody come up with a plan!
Marc.

Tw@t was probably welding/ angle grinding. The hot sparks of metal burn themselves into the GRP. It happened to me in Port Dinorwic one winter. Can still feel the gritty lumps & see black spots ten years on. Good luck & keep us informed.

I have some on my toe-rail where I stupidly cut some studding ... even though brushed of the deck - those pesky minute bits rust and show. Ships use Phosphoric Acid ..... Yotties swear by Oxalic ....
