Im very slowly makeing my way to somewhere that is afordable in summer. When i find moorings which is free with water and power ready for summer i find it hard to cast my lines off.
Internet conections are very far and very few and not always on or in use and very slow. One cafe i found had wi-fi from an unlimited dial up connection!
Ive had lots of time to wonder how seaclear works. It dose seem i will have to find mapcal but when ive looked for it i dont find anything that seems to fit sea clear or can be used to absorb my charts
Where can i find map cal that will load my charts from a cd and then put them into seaclear??

HI -- Mapcal is downloaded with the seaclear program, It is used to calibrate your scanned charts to allow them to be used with Seaclear.

In the Seaclear directory there is a program called :
MapCal_2.exe
This is the Mapcal you need.
For example .......... Seaclear is installed on my PC to : >
D:\SeaClear\
so Seaclear program is :
D:\SeaClear\SeaClear_2.exe
Mapcal is installed by default to same directory as : >
D:\SeaClear\MapCal_2.exe
What I find strange ....... is you should have two Start Icons : Seaclear_2 and Mapcal2 either on Desktop or in start programs ?
IF you can't find it manually ...... use Windows Search .... using text : Mapcal2

Thanks anyway Hi Trouville ... then your installation wasn't done fully ... I would suggest downloading latest full install package and install using default settings ... Look at download page on Seaclear site ... www.sping.com ..... see if you've downloaded something not quite right ?
